7 week class:

Mondays (June 5th-July 24th with July 3rd off)

4:00 – 5:30      Dance Team Fundamentals (Ages 12 – Adult)

Class Description:  Technique is the basis of all fundamentals of dance and all dance moves require technique.  In this class you will learn technique while learning to perform turns, leaps, kicks, extension and move combinations that you will need to know to be on a dance team. The final class period will be a showcase to show what they have learned in the class. 

4 week classes:

Monday (June 5, 12, 21, 28)

5:30 – 6:15      Teen/Adult Ballet/Pointe (Ages 10 – Adult)

Class description: Class begins with a warm up, followed by barre exercises.  Students will work on intermediate vocabulary of steps including some enchainements.  Doctor’s permission note must be on file for pointe work. 

6:15 – 6:45      Ballet Variations (Ages 12 – Adult)

Class description: Learn Iconic ballet variations (solos) from Coppelia, Swanhilda (Act 1 & Act 3), Dawn and The Prayer, among others. 

Tuesday (June 6, 13, 20, 27)

6:00 – 7:15      Int/Advanced Ballet  (Ages 13 – Adult)

Class description: Continuing instruction for students who already have ballet experience; students will learn new vocabulary, steps, and technique. Students should have at least 4 previous years of ballet (not including pre-ballet). Advanced students may attend on pointe. 

7:15 – 7:45      Int/Advanced Pointe  (Ages 13 – Adult)

Class description: Designed for students with 2 or more years of pointe, this class will expand their experience with ballet variations while reinforcing the mechanics of good ballet technique. 

Wednesday (June 7, 14, 21, 28)

9:00 – 9:45      HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) (Ages 12 – Adult)

Class description: A fitness class with intervals of higher intensity to push yourself out of your comfort zone. It will include some basic dance moves alongside traditional aerobic and resistance exercises using only bodyweight. Each class will include a warm-up and cool-down, as well as intentional stretching and lengthening exercises.  

10:00 – 11:15   Youth Ballet (Ages 7 – 13)

Class description: Youth ballet is intended for dancers ages 6-12 who have already had at least one year of ballet. There will be an emphasis on basic ballet technique and terminology. The students will also work on memorization skills as they learn a dance over the 4 weeks of class. 

Thursday (June 8, 15, 22, 29)

3:45 – 4:30      Kid’s Hip Hop (Ages 3 – 6)

Class description: This class is a great introduction to Hip-Hop for young students.  This class breaks down the basics of Hip-Hop for dancers to understand and enjoy.  If your child is a free spirit, this class will help them to develop their own individuality. 

4:30 – 5:30      Youth/Teen Hip Hop (Ages 7 – 18)

Class description: This class is a great way to further a students’ Hip-Hop knowledge.  This is a high energy class to get your child moving and grooving to music.  They will learn to work as a team and also develop individuality with their free-style movements.
